FAQs

Who we are

The Kent Farmers Market is a beloved community cornerstone that celebrates local agriculture, small businesses, and cultural diversity in the heart of downtown Kent, Washington. For over 50 years, the market has served as a vibrant hub where farmers, artisans, families, and neighbors come together to enjoy the freshest produce, unique handcrafted goods, and a rich blend of cultures and entertainment.

What is the market pet policy?

The King County Health Department allows pets at farmers’ markets.  (In some states, such as California, pets are not allowed at farmers’ markets.)  Because the market is conveniently located within walking distance and offers a leisurely outing for many shoppers, we welcome dogs. We ask pet owners to be mindful that farmers markets are often very crowded, busy places – including children, strollers, food smells and other stimuli – so consider carefully before bringing your pet to the market, and please only bring pets who are socially trained and able to behave well in this type of environment.  We ask dog owners to please be considerate of other shoppers, respectful of vendors and food products, and to follow common sense rules about good behavior.  Please keep dogs leashed and close to you, away from food and other shoppers. Dogs that misbehave will be required to leave the market.  Service animals are, of course, always allowed.

If you notice a specific problem or incident occurring at the market, please notify our staff immediately (at the market manager’s tent or trailer) so that we can address the issue promptly.

Where should I park?

There is plenty of Street Parking around Downtown Kent. Please park anywhere you can find space but pay attention to street signage.

Where is the handicap parking?

Handicap spaces are available on ground level, just outside the parking lot, and closest to the market entry point.

Are cards accepted at the booths?

Most vendors accept credit or debit cards. Cash is always accepted. Few vendors are cash-only. The Kent Farmers Market supports EBT shoppers, Seniors, and WIC participants.

Where is the restroom?

Public restrooms are located across the street from the Kent Library. You may ask any of our Staff or Volunteers if you need any assistance.
